Zac Efron 'completed rehab stint five months ago'

There are conflicting reports over the reason for Efron's treatment, with E! Online suggesting it was down to an issue with alcohol. However, TMZ is reporting that he had a cocaine addiction.

A source said that Efron is "healthy, happy" and now focussing on work.

The 25-year-old attended the Toronto International Film Festival this week for the premiere of his new movie Parkland, a drama about the JFK assassination.

"I'm good, real good," he told reporters.

Parkland will open on September 20 in the US and November 8 in the UK.
