Takeru Satô stars as Himura Kenshin in the tale of a former assassin who is trying to build himself a life free from killing.

Set in 19th century Japan following the end of the era of warring shoguns, Rurouni Kenshin centres around the struggle of former warriors to find a place in the new world order.

As a vicious killer posing under his name stalks the street, Kenshin is drawn into the plot of a powerful and ruthless drug baron.

The movie is based on Nobuhiro Watsuki's acclaimed manga of the same name.

It became a surprise hit in Japan when it was released last summer.

Rurouni Kenshin will arrive in UK cinemas on October 4.

What Is The Best Non-Prescription Eyelash Enhancer?

What Is The Best Non-Prescription Eyelash Enhancer?
Eyelash enhancers are the latest beauty trend these days, and cosmetic companies everywhere are launching products that promise to give women longer, fuller, and darker lashes without the fuss of mascara or false lashes.  But, with all these options, it’s hard to know what really works and what doesn’t.
Luckily, there are reputable beauty sites out there that have put many of these eyelash enhancers to the test.  The results for this year’s top-performing eyelash enhancers are in … with SmartLash coming in with a solid 5-star rating on DermStore.com, the #1 online destination for skin care and beauty.
What Is Eyelash Enhancement?
If you aren’t yet aware of this increasingly popular method of achieving longer lashes, eyelash enhancers are formulas that are topically applied to the base of your lower and upper lashes.  They can even be used on sparse, thin eyebrows.
Is It Safe?
While prescription eyelash enhancers are often formulated with prostaglandin, a hormone that can cause side effects such as darkened irises (potentially irreversible) and blurred vision, more and more companies are developing safer, non-prescription alternatives that deliver impressive results.
Most non-prescription formulas are hormone and paraben-free.  Instead, they’re formulated with polypeptides, amino acids, and conditioning ingredients to help rejuvenate lashes and strengthen them against breakage.  So, you still get longer, fuller, darker-looking lashes and shapelier brows, without the negative side effects.
How Soon Can You See Results?
In some cases, users have reported seeing results in as little as seven days, while others may see results in four weeks.
SmartLash, for instance, has published its clinical results, which show that 46 percent of participants saw a difference in their eyelashes and/or brows in just seven days, while 100 percent saw a difference in 14 days.  They also experienced up to a 68 percent increase in the appearance of lash length.

The Thin Line Between Holding On & Letting Go

I have noticed that I can care for people and go all the way, but at the same time I tend to give up on people pretty easily. Especially when they treat me the way I would not treat them… very ironic! I do understand that there is a certain amount of vulnerability needed to connect with people, but pushing back against it is my defence against hurt. So I constantly find myself two- stepping to this dance of holding on and letting go.
One of most difficult places to be in life is making a decision between holding on and letting go and it is the tug of war between them that leads to suffering. Thanks to BellaNaija, I have a little insight about Tuface’s and Annie’s love story. Tad complicated, but I find it interesting. I think her resilience is somewhat courageous but on the other hand, I cannot wrap my head around holding on to something that hurts so much. Which brings me to the question when exactly does one draw the line between holding on and letting go, to have a little more faith or give up? Another classic example is the plot of THE GREAT GATSBY. When love is involved, the distinction becomes somewhat blurry. It becomes very easy to have faith… but, what if letting them go is all the deliverance you need.
A few months ago, I watched a Nollywood movie which had a woman lamenting to her aunt about her marital ordeal. Her husband was cheating on her with the help and to worsen the situation, the help was pregnant neither would the man agree to send her packing. Her aunt simply told her that it is a ‘spiritual attack’ and she needs to keep fasting and praying to get her husband back. I found this response extremely amusing, and then I remembered that it is the way of life for most Nigerians. This brings me to the issue of infidelity and domestic violence in marriages which are very common amongst us. Why do women stay in relationships/marriages that are emotionally draining?? Especially in cases of infidelity, it is not about forgiveness but the lack of trust and feeling of betrayal that exist afterwards.
How does a relationship thrive without trust? The cracks are always visible.
If you have ever been on either end of the spectrum share your story… Did you hold on, and it worked in your favor or did you let go and it became your redemption?
Since October is the national domestic violence awareness month, I have included an inspiring TED video on domestic violence. It is worth watching.

They Were On All Along! “Ms. Kedike” Chidinma Ekile Releases a Statement & Photo Evidence on Alleged Topless Photo

Sometime last week, the Nigerian blogosphere was ablaze with news that ‘Miss Kedike’ Chidinma had recently taken off all her clothes for a shoot with photographer, August Udoh.

In the pictures, gotten from the photographer’s Instagram page, Chidinma seemed to only be equipped with her pretty smile, make-up and a few accessories. The photo caused quite an uproar on the young star’s social media with fans and critics alike lambasting her ‘choice to take nude photos’ but, it appears she actually wasn’t topless after all.
Chidinma took to her Instagram page over the weekend to address her critics as she released an official statement and photo evidence to prove she was wearing clothes all along. Here’s what she said:
Chidinma - September 2013 - BellaNaija
“Sometime last week, the photographer @augustudoh reached out to me for a photoshoot in support of his Open day photography initiative. A picture from the shoot was posted up on his instagram page and social media went bonkers..Chidinma’s Nude pictures.!!!!!!! It felt really sad and diabolical to see how far blogs and the media could go for unverified info. This is the full picture. I hope its nude enough.”
